This exquisite Antique Victorian c1850 oval brooch / pin in 9K rose gold features a delicate micro mosaic depicting five white and yellow daisies against a black background. It is in excellent condition, with no missing tesserae. The C-clasp on the back is complete but very loose i. The gold content is unmarked but has been confirmed with acid testing. Victorian Micro Mosaic brooches / pins were hugely popular in the mid 1800s, acquired in Italy as luxury "souvenirs" by travelers on the "Grand Tour" of Europe.
